Our Mission is to support students by connecting communities directly to school and public library wishlists, enabling easy, transparent donations of books and educational resources.
Our belief is that supporting education shouldn’t be complicated. That’s why we’ve created one place to find and fulfill real classroom and library needs across the nation. No middlemen—just direct support that helps students and teachers get what they need, faster.
School librarians and teachers submit their classroom or library wishlists, highlighting the books and resources their students need most.
We review and post each wishlist on our platform, making it easy for communities across the nation to discover and support local schools.
Browse schools near you, choose a wishlist, and directly purchase items—putting books and resources into students’ hands.
The Book Bridge started with a simple idea—and a belief that access to books should never be out of reach for students.
At 25, I found myself inspired by a growing community of librarians on social media who were doing something incredible. Through “book blitzes,” they would share school and library wishlists, and within hours, sometimes minutes, people from all over would step in to donate. Classrooms would go from empty shelves to overflowing with books. It was powerful, immediate, and deeply human.
But I also noticed something: not every school had access to that kind of visibility.
That’s where the idea for The Book Bridge was born.
I wanted to take the same energy, accessibility, and simplicity that made those book blitzes so successful and create a way for more schools—especially those without a large online presence—to benefit. Starting right here in Michigan, I set out to build a bridge between communities who want to help and the students and educators who need it most.
Our mission is simple: to support students by connecting communities directly to school and public library wishlists, enabling easy, transparent donations of books and educational resources.
What started as a small idea has quickly grown into something much bigger than I imagined. With the support of passionate donors, educators, and even some well-known creators, we’re beginning to see what’s possible when people come together around a shared purpose.
Michigan was just the beginning.
My hope is that The Book Bridge can continue to grow—reaching more schools, more students, and expanding beyond state lines to support classrooms across the country.
Because every student deserves access to books. And sometimes, all it takes is making it a little easier for people to give.
